Marc Rassbach brought an electric bike to BarCampMilwaukee. It uses a motor and battery pack to make it go, but you can also pedal it (though it’s quite heavy!) I used the helmet cam when I went for a ride on it…

I just bought one of these kits myself and it is really amazing. Absolutely silent. 30 Mile Range. Pulls up hills nicely. About 22 MPH max on a flat road. Very very heavy though. The battery pack is 34 pounds and the hub assembly in 24 pounds. No noise, no pollution, uses a few pennies of electricity.
This is a nifty idea, I wonder how it didn’t come around sooner, sometimes I get so tired of pedaling, I could really use one of these kits, how much does it cost?
Like the ideea too can i put it on my electric gadgets blog ?
@wrath, sure… just provide attribution in the form of a link back here…
